Sweet Coincidence
“Things aren’t exactly random, but they aren’t completely determined either.” it’s how Becker describes coincidence. Lately in my life, coincidence plays such a crucial role. It always did probably, only that I wasn’t so attentive to it. So here’s what happened yesterday and it made my day:
I was invited to the cinema KINODVOR to see a movie, called Czech dream - (which deserves its own post anyway). Those who might remember, a few years ago we were able to buy our own seat in there to support the cinema. So I did with my friends. I never went and visit before, shame on me. So yesterday I got this ticket and …. it was exactly my seat. Of course I didn’t realise that until the end, when I started to look around which seat that must have been (all I remembered was that it was on a balcony). After checking several, I looked at the one I sat on and it said: Sapienti sat! I was like a little kid who got a new bicycle;)
I know, small, trivial story but for me the light of the day. Anyone has any nice coincidence to share?

When going to a city I didn’t know at all last February, I was worried that I might not be able to find a particular street in time for a meeting, it could take me minutes or hours to find it, I had no idea.
As soon as I arrived and got out of the car I saw a bus with the name of the street lighted up on its front screen coming towards me. Amazing. I just had to follow it or jump in, but it turned out that I had parked 100 mts away from the street I was looking for anyway. How’s that? Two coincidences in a row, actually.

Very handy coincidence, indeed:)

This is one helluva interesting post, at least to me.
These “coincidences” … I feel there is usually some hoax to them. Richard Dawkins calls it PETWHAC - Population of Events That Would Have Appeared Concidental. He describes that lucidly in Chapter 7, Unweaving the Uncanny, of his Unweaving the Rainbow.
You know, we share our initials together, B.L.’s, we are even both Bo’s! what a lovely coincidence this is (fate? I would like to see that!) , really is …
P.S. I’m the one who hopes that Ceský sen will get its post.

Fellow BL,
I have a surprise for you. Richard Dawkin’s Unweaving the Rainbow is available to you through BookCrossing by me, so the probability that you get your hands on the book and the recommended chapter (which is really good) is high indeed.
