The Use of Webcams

The newest PIP report shows that roughly 21 million of people have gone online to use webcam - viewing a remote person or a place. Web cams allow users to capture digital video and immediately transmit it over the internet. They can be used for video chats and conferencing. They have been used in reality TV shows, to view remote and environmentally important locales, to increase surveillance of city streets and factories, to allow home buyers to view construction progress, to permit commuters to check out traffic hotspots etc.

Do you use a webcam? Hmm, in the beginning I was really reluctant and didn’t want to hear about it. Well, I was happy to watch my friends on a webcam but didn’t want to buy one for myself.

I ended up buying one. And i know it will be very welcome now, when am gonna be away - i will be able to show myself to my falmily.

Ever Heard Of Sports Fantasy Leagues?

The newest Pew Internet Project research shows an interesting results on online participating in sports fantasy leagues. What the heck is that … I hear you asking … or at least I heard myself.

Well, this sentence was quite impressive to me: On a typical day, two million internet users are going online to oversee and check on their fantasy teams. Two million? Even tho this represents only 8% of adult Americans, it is more than a whole adult Slovenia.

As described in PIP report, sport fantasy teams are created by fans who ‘draft’ individual professional athletes to be part of their team. The ‘team’ is an artificial assembly of players from a variety of real teams.

So, to cut a long story short …

Two words on my mind … narcotic disfunction … oh … am no better .. only that I don’t play sports, but instead I do the online hanging out with friends.

In The Morning …

In the morning … in the morning when I wake up and I feel all right, in the morning when I step out on the morning light la la la …

I just woke up, which is waaay late for me, as I keep waking up at about 6 am in the summer time … not due to alarm clock but just because the morning light gets me:>. So yeh, I have just woken up and am already singing the ‘Morning’ song by Elvis Jackson to myself. I haven’t heard it for aggeeeeees, but it juts came to me ..

Lately (as about for the last three years) I haven’t been to any of their concert. Nor did Erik ops Slavc supplied me with their newest Summer Edition. Well, I guess it’s time I start buying their albums. But when Elvis Jackson was still a tiny little boy back then in 1999 and released the very first edition of Move Your Feet It’s One O’clock … Then I was their biggest fan, mostly due to the fact that Erik was one of us (Adela - Spela - Ivo - Mojca - Jasmina - Bojana - Erik - Marica - Maja - plus probably anyone else - 116/117 company) but also because I really really liked their music. Oh well, I still do;)).

Tomorrow I am meeting Adela, she had her birthday on April 1st and I still havent’ given her my birthday present. Spela had a birthday three days ago (June 9th) so how nice of me is giving both of them bday presents at the same time?? Not nice, I know. I often regret spending so little time with my friends lately - am so busy excuse does it! But I hope I’ll improve and show them am grateful they are still my friends even tho I harldy find time to come round.

Ok, time to start working. I have a web survey to prepare today, but first I need to complete the Thurston scale. I am in the last stage (thanks to Andraz, who was/is of great help) … selecting the statements for the survey.
